Unfortunately, earlier today part of the Link Layer fibre network was damaged when a earch moving vehicle did damage to a main feeder cable while conducting work on a residents property. Teams are already on site and have begun repair the damaged fibre. Unfortunately damage to the cable was quite extensive and may take some time to repair.
03 February 2026 – 17:00 Update:
Unfortunately repairs to the feeder cable have taken longer than expected, and some clients may still be experiencing connectivity problems, technicians have almost completed the work and restoration of services is underway. We will provide a further update at 18:00 this evening.

Please note that over the next 2 weeks Linklayer technicians will be carrying out fibre tracing, testing and physical splicing within the estates distribution boxes and rises. This work is required to ensure that all services operate within the correct light levels and to improve overall network performance and reliability.
During the maintenance period, residents may experience intermittent connectivity or short service interruptions. Work will be done in phases to minimize downtime as much as possible.
